My passion for building and repairing things started early, working side-by-side with my grandfather, who passed down the foundational skills and work ethic I carry today. I brought that spark into my adult career, working as an electrician for a new-construction home builder in Flint, Michigan. Eventually, I paused my electrical career to follow my other grandfather’s footsteps and serve my country in the U.S. Navy.

As a Navy Air Traffic Controller, I operated in high-stress, precision-driven environments—but I never lost my love for hands-on work. Throughout my military career, I spent my free time helping friends and fellow service members remodel and improve their homes.

After years of renting, my wife and I purchased our first home. Taking on our own remodel reminded me just how rewarding it is to transform a house into a home.
